Hello and welcome

I’m Cass, founder of Peninsula Yoga.

Yoga has been part of my life for over 25 years, evolving and adapting with me through all of life’s changes. What began as a strong, physically-focused practice in my 20s has gradually become something much deeper and more grounding.

After having children, everything shifted—my body changed, time felt scarce, and I was often tired and overstimulated. I found myself turning to slower, more restorative practices. Yoga became less about achieving poses and more about reconnecting with myself and creating calm amidst the chaos. This shift was the beginning of a new chapter.

I enrolled in yoga teacher training, not only to teach, but to explore the rich tradition beyond asana—the eight limbs of yoga. That learning has deepened each year, guiding me toward further studies, including pranayama. Introducing a daily breath practice into my life has had a subtle but profound impact, helping me manage stress, navigate challenges, and stay grounded and present for my family.

My Approach

I bring a steady, inclusive approach to every class. My teaching blends movement, breathwork, mobility and strength, with clear guidance and a deep respect for your individual needs. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning after a break, my goal is to make yoga accessible and welcoming—regardless of your background, age, gender, body shape, or level of experience.

I create a space where you can move at your own pace, explore what feels good, and cultivate practices that support you both on and off the mat. I’m always learning and evolving as a teacher, and I love weaving new insights into class—from fascia-informed movement to nervous system support and everyday resilience.
